thanks! thats encouraging..they already gave us a conditional approval last week asking for some documents, which I sent immediately. They didn't even open my documents for a week, and then the underwriter came back asking for some more things including this I94..these people are crazy! Today's my deadline and i still haven't heard anything

PERM is only for the Primary applicant. For I-485 every dependent of Primary applicant needs one separate application
Considering all these 750,000 I-485 filings in next 1 month sounds a reasonable estimate.

They voted YES to include amendment to eliminate EB visa cap for Nurses (India, PHI)
Will send the Nursing comm into raptures if it finall passes into law. Strong indications that it will make it. Of course that will have major impact on EB3 numbers, I guess

dude..dont rain on our parade...everyone knows the harsh realities.. i myself said earlier that only half the battle is won...but the least we deserve is one day of hope.

I guess the intention of DOS was to enable Consular posts to approve as many EB2 cases as possible inorder to minimize VISA wastage. And also continue to enable USCIS to pick the low hanging fruits.
Otherwise, I dont think USCIS has cleared all pending cases with PD earlier than April 2004.

I have talked to a representative and he very patiently explained me about the mess.
He clearly and very clearly told me that they have a deadline to send all receipts for June end and July 2nd filers by friday (tomorrow) or worst case monday.
He mentioned that they are working hard to meet this deadline.
Hope this clears the anxiety.

15 years and 2 months. Arrived in US in June 1995. Includes 6 years on J1 and 9 years on H1. Been thru all possible problems-employer closing shop in the middle of waiver, scrambling to find another waiver position, labor stuck in back log , lost priority date, new PERM and labor from 2006 and then applied 485 in july 2007 .
I made a lot of mistakes, lost opportunities but there there were a lot of things beyond my control...

Hi,
Can we use the I-485 receipt notice for extension of DL for my wife. She was on H4 which expires Oct 20. She plans to use the EAD card to work and we will not extend her H4 unless EAD does not come before Oct 20. She got a letter from DMV yesterday asking for additional proof for extended stay. Also will EAD suffice as evidence?
We live in California.

First be clear whats your point and then enlighten us how this supports your point.
Please let me know how this so called multinational executives are getting compensated. Whats the stock/option given to these executives. The available information shows only three days of extended stay and one week of car which they need to share with other executives. Fortunately the extended stay suites come with attached rest room. Otherwise they need to share with other multinational executives. There would be long queue in front of the shared room and eventual back log...

Yeah, I was so envious about that designation, that I have to leave it risking by giving 2 months of advance notice(policy of the company to give 2 months notice) and finding an employer who could file my H1 and suffering 1 yr of constant followups with the company to get my pay and PF and so on. And forgot to mention, that if 2 months notice is not given we are asked to sign an agreement to pay back close to 10 grand.
Is this how a multinational executive gets treated who are fortunately qualified for the EB1 category and company projects you as most valuable employee for business development who would be sponsoring you EB1.
If the company really feels the need , they may as well recruit someone locally who might be much more qualified without going through all of those hassles. All this is done as part and parcel of exploiting the system and its employees.
Luckily we have a choice whether to stay or not and move on to a different status like H1.
