If the USCSI didnt have enough applications to be assigned the VISA , then why are they so conservative in making the cutoff dates move ahead. What is the harm in pro-actively moving the cutiff dates, to amek sure no visa gets wasted.
A cut-off date avoids submission of AOS applications with PD after cut-off date. In my opinion, this was the only reason to retrogress on July 2: avoid AOS submission whose PDs became current in July.
Now nearly all AOS applications have been submitted. Hence, setting cut-off dates conservatively is not that motivating.

Senator Scott Brown (R-Massachusetts) - left voice mail
Senator Judd Gregg (R-New Hampshire) - left voice mail
Senator Richard Lugar (R-Indiana) -left voice mail
Senator Michael Enzi (R-Wyoming) - left voice mail
Senator Lindsey Graham (R-South Carolina) - it was not on my print out. But would call right away.
Senator John Ensign (R-Nevada) - Spoke with staff. Could not escape noticing her "sigh" when I mentioned CIR. She asked if I was from Nevada. I said no. But still she patientely took my message. She said there was no official statement yet from the senator and would not tell his position.
Senator Orin Hatch (R-Utah) - engage. Nothing happened.
Senator John Cornyn (R-Texas) - You must call during office hours. Cannot leave voice mail.
Senator John Kyl (R-Texas) - left voice mail
Senator Mitch Mcconnell (R-Kentuky) - engage
Senator Amy Klobuchar (D-Minnesota) - Voice mail
Senator Claire McCaskill (D-Missouri) - Mail box full !!!!!!!!!!!!!
Senator Jon Tester (D-Montana) - left voice mail
Senator Jim Webb (D-Virginia) - left voice mail
Senator Sheldon Whitehouse (D-Rhode Island) - left voice mail. Here you hear prompt both in English as well as Spanish before you get the beep of the voice mail.
In every message I mentioned my name, address and phone numbers. Will call the Sen. Graham and sponsoring dems now. I will make another round of calls during office hours tomorrow.
And please the Fax link for guests. They should not be able to edit the mesasge. But must enter name and address. I can have at least 100 faxes sent.

people,
i just returned from an infopass meeting... the guy i talked to said that they recently have a directive from the DHS/USCIS that they want to separate the legal stuff from the illegal stuff and hence they are planning to adjudicate a record number of EB apps in the next quarter or two... does anyone else concur? is this true or were my ears just ringing in that meeting?

i sent all documents to loan officer at wells fargo for refinance. I sent I-140, EAD copy for immigration documents. just got email from loan office that he received my file back from underwriter and ask for greencard copy front and back as underwriter said EAD is not acceptable (Employer can not sponsor borrower).
could anybody please tell me what to do now?
thank you:(
May be they approve loan for only people who run away and screw up economy.
Try with a different bank.
There are many who bought home with H1B visa.
My street has 3 people who are in H1B (not even 140 approved) and great homes.

The following articles talk about similar provisions (I think?) for undocumented. You can send them your story and ask them to write about you. You can also ask lawmakers for simliar provisions for you.

We now have 5 members in Southern California who have shown interest in participating State Chapter work. I think that is a great start. Thanks for your postings. Once the core team gives us a set of responsibilities we can start rolling.
Thanks.
Thanks.

I just did the math.
I am sure most of you have assets worth of at least $150,000. So if 300,000 are stuck in the backlog. This would mean if these guys leave this country, then that would be $45 trillion loss for USA.
Guys is there a way to get some media publicity of the possible loss of $45 trillion for USA due to US Immigration mess??
CORRECTED => Just corrrected...it should be $45 billion, not trillion......hey still it is a lot of money
For every dollar deposited with banks, they lend $9. Don't know if you factored that in your calculations. It could be loss of $9x$45billion = 405billion. To add the circulating effect of $405billion in economy. For every dollar that is lend, it generates nearly $3-4 into GDP. That will mean nearly loss of $1.6trillion. This is close to 10% of GDP.
